Natalia had been fighting B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with mixed lineage leukemia (MLL) mutant gene. Her family was taking her to hospital in a daily basis because of the regular need of oxygen and platelets transfusion. Her little body had developed many heart-wrenching bruises. She lost vision on 9th December and admitted to Marshfield Children's Hospital due to cancer spread over her eyes or brain. On 13th December, she spent his last night opening Christmas gifts and cuddling with her momma.
She loved her puppy Kenzie so much. I'm glad that she enjoyed her last Christmas, opened gifts, met Santa and saw colorful Christmas tree. Another 3-year-old who left too soon. Rest in piece, little princess.
According to the paper, patients' response to the treatments are very low and there is a need for more effective therapies. I will examine it later on.
